“Shubharambh” Fresher’s Welcome Programme Celebrated at JCD Dental College, Sirsa

JCD Dental College, Sirsa organized a grand Fresher’s Welcome Programme titled “Shubharambh” to warmly welcome the BDS 2025 batch students. The event marked a joyful beginning of the academic journey for the newly admitted students and reflected the institution’s vibrant cultural ethos.

Prof. (Dr.) Jai Parkash, Director General, JCD Vidyapeeth, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The programme was also attended by Dr. Sudhanshu Gupta, Registrar, JCD Vidyapeeth, Principals of all constituent colleges, coordinators, officers, faculty members, and non-teaching staff of JCD Vidyapeeth.

The function commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by floral tributes to Jan Nayak Chaudhary Devi Lal Ji. A powerful Shakti dance performed by the BDS 2025 batch students set an inspiring tone for the event. This was followed by a warm welcome address by Dr. Arindam Sarkar, Principal, JCD Dental College, Sirsa, who encouraged students to pursue excellence in academics and professional ethics.

A series of vibrant cultural performances added color and enthusiasm to the programme. Students from BDS 1st and 2nd year showcased their talents through Haryanvi dance, Gidda, duet dance, solo singing, and Bhangra, which were highly appreciated by the audience.

The fresher students were formally introduced and presented with gifts by the Chief Guest. The highlight of the event was the Mr. and Miss Fresher Contest, where Mr. Vipul was crowned Mr. Fresher and Miss Mannat was crowned Miss Fresher. Mr. Naitik, Miss Arajita, and Miss Monika were honoured with Mr. and Miss Talent awards for their exceptional performances.

Prof. (Dr.) Jai Parkash personally presented prizes to all the winners and congratulated the students for their confidence and creativity. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks, followed by a fellowship lunch, leaving behind cherished memories for the students and staff alike.
