JCD Dental College, Sirsa Celebrates World Oral Health Month 2026
JCD Dental College, Sirsa celebrated World Oral Health Month from 20th March to 20th April 2026 with the theme “A Happy Mouth is a Happy Mind.” The month-long celebration aimed to promote awareness about the importance of oral hygiene and overall well-being.
A variety of engaging activities were organized, including rangoli making, face painting, graffiti, nukkad natak, oral health pledge, art with dental materials, best out of waste, and an oral health awareness walk. Sports activities such as table tennis, volleyball, chess, and cricket were also conducted to encourage overall participation and team spirit.
All BDS students and staff members participated enthusiastically throughout the event. Dr. Arindam Sarkar, Principal, JCD Dental College, administered the oral health pledge, emphasizing the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene.
As part of community outreach, BDS students performed a nukkad natak to spread awareness among the general public about oral health and hygiene practices.
The celebrations concluded with a valedictory function held on 20th April to felicitate the winners of various competitions. Prof. (Dr.) Jai Parkash, Director General, JCD Vidyapeeth, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The event was also attended by Dr. Sudhanshu Gupta, Registrar, JCD Vidyapeeth, along with principals of constituent colleges.
In his address, the Director General highlighted the significance of maintaining good oral hygiene and encouraged students to actively promote oral health awareness in society.
